Auto Deal SA ("we") respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, contact details and message. When you apply for finance we collect the information a bank needs to assess a vehicle finance application: identity, contact, residential, employment, income, expense and banking details, the vehicle you want to finance, and any documents you upload.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to submit your finance application to the banks and finance houses you are applying through, to complete the sale and registration of a vehicle, and to meet our legal obligations. With your consent, the banks will run a credit check as part of the application.

How we protect it

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Finance applications and uploaded documents are encrypted before they are stored, and only authorised staff can view them. We never sell your information.

Who we share it with

Finance applications are shared only with the banks and finance houses needed to process your application, and with service providers (such as licensing authorities and insurers) when completing your purchase.

How long we keep it

Finance applications are kept for up to 12 months unless a sale goes ahead, in which case records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing. Contact us on 082 222 5555 or info@autodealsa.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
